Ragnarök: The Myth Continues!

I have been recently attracted by this Nordic series and watched the 3 seasons in a very short time.

Ragnarök (literally «Twilight of the Gods», often translated as «End of the World») is a Danish-Norwegian fantasy television series in 18 episodes of 39-48 minutes created by Adam Price and broadcast since January 31, 2020.

Synopsis:

The fictional Norwegian city of Edda is tarnished by industrial pollution and global warming, until a teenager, Magne (David Stakston), with Thor’s powers, begins to fight what risks destroying the planet. His brother Laurits (Jonas Strand Gravli) turns out to be Loki and the supermarket employee a Norne. Gry (Emma Bones) turns Magne’s head, but she prefers Fjor (Herman Tommeraas), son of the local tycoon, whom Laurits would have liked to seduce. Scandinavian legends and teenage concerns are intertwined.

Like!

Even if the actors are amazing, the symbolism of the Nordic mythology is very present. What I liked is the simplicity and the humanity of the characters. That changes a lot from the Hollywood spooky film industry. We can see the gods like Odin, Thor, Freya, Balder, Heimdall, Tyr having a human attitude. This is brilliant. The quest of power and the struggle of power between the gods and the giants are at the menu. The hammer of Thor cannot be forgotten....

A series that deserve to be watch!
