According to astrology, a singleton is a planet posited in the only sign (or house) of its type. For example, if the Sun is the only planet in a water house, or if the moon is the only planet in a lunar sign, it is a singleton.
From another side, a singleton in hemisphere (angles) is a planet alone in the upper, lower, left or right half of the chart, accentuating its strength and some special capacity.
As a good single, He/She is a very dynamic partner for the scout planet*
This lonely planet tends to make it much more compulsive, much more difficult to understand and control in its acts, since by definition the planet is a “free electron” that can be quite inflationary.
This single mother or bachelor has the choice to find partners (aspects) or to act alone in the sign/house in which He/She lives. All is matter of impulse. If the scout planet acts like a guardian or a weapon, the singleton acts like an adventurer or a house keeper.
Everyone has the ability to see the singleton on his/her birth chart.
Here are a few examples:
To find your special planet(s) look at your natal chart for the following:
- The only planet in an angular house (Houses 1, 4, 7, and 10), fixed house (Houses
2, 5, 8, and 11), and cadent house (Houses 3, 6, 9, and 12).
- The only planet in a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), earth sign (Taurus, Virgo,
Capricorn), water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), and air sign (Gemini, Libra,
Aquarius).
- The only planet in a cardinal modality (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, and Libra), fixed
modality (Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio), and mutable modality (Gemini, Virgo,
Sagittarius, and Pisces).
Have a nice and surprising discovery!
